French Green Party scores unexpectedly well in Parliamentary election

Reuters/John SchultsIn yesterday's runoff round of the French parliamentary election, the Green party, Europe Ecologie Les Verts, surprised everyone by winning 17 seats. This represents a fivefold increase from their four seats in the previous National Assembly and guarantees them a parliamentary group this time. RFI was at their Paris headquarters when the results came in.
