The American University of Paris is celebrating its 50th birthday this year. In 1962, the university opened to about a hundred students in makeshift conditions at the American Church in Paris. A lot has changed since then, as the original all-American make-up of the institution gave way to a more global feel. RFI went to the 50th 'convocation' to mark the new academic year.
