Today marks the international campaign for the decriminalisation of abortion. The campaign hopes to take away the stigma surrounding abortion, and to make it legal where it is not: in Chile, Nicaragua, El Salvador and the Dominican Republic abortion is still forbidden. Abortion has been legal in France since 1974, but pro-life groups continue their fight to overturn that law.
