In France, 1 November is All Saints' Day, a Christian holy day and a public holiday in France. Many French people have a tradition of visiting the graves of their departed loved ones on All Saints Day. As one of three French cemeteries pioneering the use of digital technology in its funeral ceremonies, Père Lachaise in eastern Paris is at the forefront of efforts to break taboos around death.
