France says EU likely to lift some sanctions on Iran in December
France’s Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said Monday that the European Union would likely lift some sanctions on Iran in December as part of the landmark deal to rollback Tehran’s nuclear programme.

World powers clinched a deal early Sunday morning in Geneva after four days of intense negotiations. The interim agreement promises sanction relief in return for capping an enrichment programme that the West fears was designed to develop a nuclear bomb.
Israel blasted the agreement as a “historic mistake” but Fabius said it was not likely that it would launch any preventative strikes on Iran.
EU foreign ministers are set to meet in the next few weeks to put forward a proposal on what sanctions to lift.
“This lifting of sanctions is limited, targeted, and reversible,” said Fabius speaking on Europe 1 radio.
