The French are becoming increasingly attuned to whether or not their children know where their food comes from. In the 17th-century Place des Vosges in Paris a pop-up microfarm has brought heritage livestock breeds of goats, sheep, chickens and turkeys into the city as an introduction for Parisian youth. The Ferme d'Ecancourt, the animals' home, is just a few hours outside of Paris. The group also brings their animals into the city parks - to take the place of lawnmowers.
