The European Union yesterday called for more humanitarian aid for people fleeing Syria, and also tightened sanctions on the Syrian government and a number of high-ranking officials. The EU also decided on closer monitoring of the arms embargo with more inspections of international cargos. RFI discussed the issues with Julian Barnes-Dacy, of the European Council on Foreign Relations in London.
