The sectarian overtones of the civil war in Syria are becoming increasingly obvious even in refugee camps in neighbouring countries, including Turkey. Increasing numbers of Alawites, fearing reprisals as the violence continues, have fled Syria in large numbers. But even in the refugee camps they are not safe.
