Violence hit the streets of Beirut, following Sunday's funeral of top Lebanese security official, General Wissam al Hassan, who was assassinated last week. The  opposition has blamed neighbouring Syria for being behind the killing.  Lebanese political scientist Karim Makdisi to review Lebanon's relations with Syria since 1990.
