The Palestinian Authority is again planning to submit a bid to become an observer member of the United Nations. However, the US and Israel are opposing the move. US President Barack Obama told Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in a telephone conversation on Sunday that his administration opposes the UN initiative.
