Andy Murray seeks record equalling fourth title at Queen's Club

Two former Wimbledon champions, Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal, will grace the field from Monday at the Aegon championsips at the Queen's Club in west London. Murray won his second grand slam title at Wimbledon in 2012. When Nadal claimed his second Wimbledon crown in 2010, it was his ninth major. He's since won five more.

Murray, 28, arrives at the Queen's Club in west Kensington seeking a fourth win after recovering from a cold.

The Briton said he suffered with a cough during the French Open in Paris and after losing in the semi-final on 6 June to Novak Djokovic, he took three days off.

"I was actually sick for about a week, so I needed to recover from that," said Murray. "I don't know if I was just run down or tired but it had obviously been a long few weeks. I feel fine now."

Murray's defeat to Djokovic in the last four at Roland Garros was his first defeat in 15 matches. It was a run of form that brought him titles on the clay courts at the Munich Open and the Madrid Masters.

Murray beat Nadal to claim the Madrid crown and the Spaniard will be among his rivals at the Queen's Club.

Nadal, who was eliminated at Roland Garros in the quarter-finals by Djokovic, hasn't played at Queen's since 2011. The 2008 and 2010 Wimbledon champion will start his campaign for his second title on the back of reaching the final at the Stuttgart Open on Sunday afternoon.

Murray by contrast will be aiming to emulate John McEnroe, Boris Becker, Lleyton Hewitt and Andy Roddick, who all won four times at Queen's Club.

To help him achieve that feat, recently appointed coach Jonas Bjorkman will oversee his matches at Queen's.

The Swede, who twice won the doubles title at Queen's, will then take more of an observational role as Murray hunts a second Wimbledon title at the All England Lawn Tennis Club.

Murray confirmed on Saturday that coach Amélie Mauresmo, who is due to give birth in August, will be with him at Wimbledon.

"I would imagine that during Wimbledon Amélie will take the lead and Jonas can see how we operate a bit more as a team," he said.

Top seed Murray will play a qualifier in the first round at Queen's. The Swiss second seed Stan Wawrinka, fresh from winning the French Open on 7 June, will play Nick Kyrgios - the Australian who eliminated Nadal at Wimbledon last year in round one.

Kyrgios, 20, described Wawrinka's tennis in Paris last week as extraordinary.

"Every time I'm in London, it's hard not to think about what happened last year," he added. "I'd like to think I've done a lot of good things since then as well, which have also boosted my confidence."

Nadal, who is seeded fifth, will take on Ukraine's Alexandr Dolgopolov, while defending champion and sixth seed Grigor Dimitrov opens against former champion Sam Querrey.

The Canadian third seed Milos Raonic, who missed the French Open due to a foot injury, returns to competitive action with a first-round match against the Briton James Ward.
