Paris suburbs gather food aid for Somalia

As riots flared in London last week, a Paris suburb was overwhelmed by a different sort of spontaneous activity: a mass influx of food donations for famine-stricken Somalia. Community association France Afrik Terre 2 Kultur was formed after the riots that devastated Villiers-sur-Marne and other Parisian suburbs in the autumn of 2005, with the aim of using the community’s energy for something more positive.
