TechnoratiFarmer fined for deworming ducks with dope
A French duck farmer was fined 500 euros and given a suspended sentence after he fed cannabis to his fowl, claiming it was an excellent dewormer. Farmer Michel Rouyer was arrested by police after they found 12 cannabis plants and around five kilos of dope in a bag during a visit to his house after a theft.
"There's no better worming substance for them, a specialist advised me to do it," said Rouyer.
Rouyer, who lives in the village of Gripperie-Saint-Symphorien on the Atlantic coast, said he had smoked some of the pot himself, but had given most of it to his 150 ducks for medicinal purposes.
"This is for real, not one [duck] has worms and they're all in excellent health," Jean Piot, Rouyer's lawyer, said in court.
"It's the first time we've heard of something like this," police said.

Doubt it was for worms. Come on French folks, do the math, you like to cook and eat. THC = fat soluble. Ducks are not as big as geese but I'm sure they'd work fine for a nice batch of pate de foie gras. Just like feeding little lambs fields of clover and herbs. Just different. =)
