TechnoratiAirport strike causes flight disruption at Paris and Lyon
Flights were delayed at Paris’s Charles de Gaulle airport and cancelled at Lyon’s Saint-Exupéry due to a national strike by airport security staff. The dispute adds to delays caused by Storm Joachim, which hit France on Friday as many French families travel ahead of the Christmas and New Year break.

checks because of the strike. Orly airport was not affected, according to Paris airports officials.
All flights were cancelled at Lyon on Friday and Saturday morning but bosses promised that 23 of 111 scheduled flights would take off Saturday afternoon.
Unions say that management has brought strike-breakers in from Marseille, Lille and Nice.
The strike, calling for negotiations on salaries and working conditions of 10,000 security staff employed by a number of sub-contractors, started Friday and looked set to continue over the weekend and beyond.
