Orphan bear cub found searching for mother in Pyrenees
A four-month-old bear cub has been found desperately searching for her mother in the Pyrenees mountains that sit on the French-Spanish border. Spanish officials found the cub, which they have called Auberta, wandering near the village of Val d'Aran.

Two weeks ago a local resident first noticed the baby bear wandering near houses in the village of Aubert.
Both Spanish and French local authorities decided to rescue her.
After having fed her during two days, the National Office for Wildlife (ONCFS) decided to return the cub to freedom and monitor her movements, so as to give Auberta a chance to find her mother.
But, despite several attempts, the baby bear always came back to places human habitations, having not found any trace of her mother.
Eventually, Auberta was taken to an uninhabited area of the Val d'Aran where a shelter was built with the hope that her mother comes back.
She will be left there for about four months under videosurveillance and with a regular supply of milk.
