The CGT union, which has most support at Air France, has issued notice of a strike of ground personnel at Paris’s Charles De Gaulle, Orly and all other French airports as from 1.00am on 2 August.

The union has called for a demonstration at Charles De Gaulle airport at 11.00am to “protect local jobs” and “against subcontracting”.

It is also calling for the 2012 law that obliges transport workers to individually give 48 hours notice if they wish to go on strike.

Another union, FO, has called a strike at Paris Charles De Gaulle alone.
