The phenomena of the scary clown has reached France. In October, after several teenagers in the south of the country began donning the costume to harass passersby, one town went so far as to ban the outfits completely. But clowning is a long-standing tradition in France, and one that offers much more than just a halloween mask. Some theaters and clowning schools comment about the effects of this phenomena.
