French photographer, US-born reporter killed in Syria
A French photojournalist and a US-born reporter are reported to have been killed in the Syrian city of Homs. Rémi Ochlik and Marie Colvin died when a makeshift press centre in the Baba Amr was shelled, according to Al Jazeera TV.
Three or four other foreign journalists were wounded in the attack on the media centre that was set up by opponents of President Bashar al-Assad, according to opposition activist Omar Shaker in Homs.
One of the injured was Edith Bouvier, a journalist who has reported for RFI, according to French newspaper Le Figaro which had sent to Syria. She is reported to be in a serious condition.
Syrian citizen-journalist Ramy Al-Sayed of Shaam News Network was killed in a bombardment on Tuesday afternoon.
